 Chip Herr has been a Professional Racing Driver Since 1998. In 2003, Chip tallied three championships in vastly different series’: Mazdaspeed Miata Cup, Mid-Atlantic Road Racing Series, and the American Road Race of Champions. Following the success of 2003, Chip raced in SCCA World Challenge and IMSA for the next few years with an amazing run of 75 races, 8 wins, 13 podiums, 7 Pole Positions, and 4 fastest laps for several different teams. His best championship finish was 3rd in 2006 driving for Stasis Audi. Showcasing his skills, other larger teams quickly took notice, and Chip became a Factory Mazda Driver in 2008 with Tindol Motorsports in a Mazda6 and enjoyed continued success with Mazda driving for the Tri-Point team. Adding to his resume, Chip hosted the SportsCar Revolution television show on SPEED from 2004-2007. In 2010, he was offered an opportunity to race in the Domincan Republic for the Sarraff Racing Team driving a highly tuned Mazda6. He won the DTS Touring car championship in 2014 and was runner-up in 2016 adding to an already impressive history. Chip also found himself co-driving a Porsche 997 Cup car back in North America with a Porsche Club series. In 2019, it was back to the Dominican racing a Mazda MX5 for Team Sarraff in their highly contested ST class. Chip finished second in the ST Championship with 3 podiums in 4 races.

In 2021, Chip returned to U.S. competition competing the SCCA Majors Championship with his Stasis Audi A4 that he raced back in 2006 & 2007 in World Challenge. Chip was able to take home a second place finish and a silver medal in the STU class in 2021 and 2022 at the SCCA National Championship Runoffs. In 2023, it finally all came together for a gold medal win! Chip charged from last to first after a first lap spin to claim his first National Championship. One that he will remember for the rest of his life!
